Aucke Paulusma (b. 1997, Amsterdam) is a contemporary artist specializing in modern art. His practice is built around color and lived experience, often returning to themes of chronic illness, intimacy, friendship and the overlooked moments that structure human relationships. These emotional registers form the starting point of his work, translated into a visual language that others can relate to and recognise in their own way.

a sense of presence

Through loose gestures, luminosity and an open approach to form, his paintings evoke a sense of presence rather than realism, allowing emotion and atmosphere to take precedence over precise description.
