Our spring exhibition Soft Silhouettes presents the art of Sella Molenaar and Tamasine McNabb. Through the use of handmade papers and mixed media, both artists build thoughtful compositions following an intuitive hand. An abstract and visual language of organic shapes, natural materials, and warm colors comes together in collages that draw you in with their flowing continuity, revealing subtle details the closer you look.
The art is placed in dialogue with a bespoke furniture piece by Kevin Shek, a sculptural chaise longue that was custom designed and built for this exhibition. Its asymmetrical, organic silhouette invites multiple ways of interaction.

Meet the artists

Sella’s work begins with connection — to herself, the world around her, and what drives her. Her collages in earthy tones suggest feminine forms and flowing lines, reflecting on the ways we relate to one another.
Tamasine’s practice draws on the simplicity of Scandinavian and Japanese aesthetics. Her balanced compositions in warm tones and wabi sabi textures, are an ongoing exploration of the natural world — from blooming plants to flowing water and the ever-changing sea.
Kevin explores the interplay of form, material and comfort, creating bespoke furniture pieces that are as thoughtful as they are functional.
